Yes, they should grow well and are cheaper. Soak them in water for 24 hours first and then treat as you would the pea seeds! Good luck!

I could not find pea seeds to buy, but went to a market to buy the ones for cooking and therefore my question on how can you use those for planting?

The accepted wisdom is that if you’re wanting to save the peas for seeds then leave them on the vine until the pod is fully dry / or dry completely before storing. (The growing season for peas is quite short, unless you have the ability to grow indoors/underglass). So no, you don’t need to buy more seeds, you can save from plants you grow, but you’re unlikely to be able to grow multiple continous crops in the same season.
