Everything always tastes better if you grow it yourself. Being able to pick fresh tomatoes for a salad, or eat a gloriously sweet corn cob directly from the garden. You don’t need to spend a fortune, have particularly green fingers or spend your entire life in the garden.
At Lets Grow Cook we share easy ways to grow your own vegetables and herbs in the most cost-effective way. And, because that’s only half the story, we share the best recipes we’ve found and use to get the most from your garden bounty.
Let’s Grow Cook was founded and is researched, written and funded by Sarah Carter. I love growing my own vegetables, herbs and sometimes fruits. It’s even better when you get to cook with them. It’s been nearly 15 years since I grew my first season of tomatoes, overtook the house with homemade jams and chutneys to use up an oversupply of just about everything.
I started home growing vegetables from a base of nothing – no experience, little money and no idea. Since then there have been lots of ideas, a little investment in tools, equipment and common sense and a whole lot of homegrown. Welcome, and I hope you find the site useful!
